PLEASE NOTE:- For all volunteering opportunities below, PSI will provide any relevant event materials (such as promotional banner, table cloth, handouts etc) to take to the event. However, costs incurred for any travel/accommodation/subsistence needs in relation to attending such volunteering opportunities are up to the volunteer and their employer to cover as per their local expense policies, if they are not indicated to be covered by the host of the volunteer opportunity.

Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers needed - School Workshop 

We’re looking for volunteers to help run a school workshop in West London.  Experienced members of the PSI/Schools team will be running a web-based clinical trial simulation activity, and your role would be to provide additional support to the students.

You’d also take part in a Speed Networking activity, where you’ll get to talk to students about your job, your career path, and offer any tips and advice.

This would suit PSI members who are interested in gaining some experience of schools outreach activities, but not yet confident to lead an activity on their own, as full support will be provided.

Mock Interviews - Seeking Volunteers to Participate in 1-1 student interviews to give real world experience. Includes interviewing and feedback.

Career’s fair - Calling on employers and various industry professionals to host a stand, showcasing your industry and promoting your organisation

Employer Visit’s - Volunteers needed to engage with students directly. Presentations, Workshops or hand’s-on activities.

Career’s day - Exposing students to various careers, there may be a Career Fair, Mock interviews, various workshops and networking events happening simultaneously. Employers and Volunteers needed.

Youth Careers Collective Volunteering Opportunities

Youth Careers Collective work to enhance young people’s employability skills and knowledge to ensure they are better prepared for and able to effectively transition into the workplace. We do this through high-quality in- school employability workshops and events, career mentoring and work experience placements. Find out more below, or contact careers@psiweb.org for more details.

Sector Talk and Employability Workshops, Various Schools 

What? We are looking for employers to support Youth Careers Collective with delivering a talk around your sector and career journey (max 15 minutes) to a group of students. We are then hoping for volunteers to stay on and support Youth Careers Collective with delivering an employability workshop.

When and where?

  • Green School for Boys, Twickenham Rd, Isleworth TW7 6AU.

Where? Dormers Wells High School, Dormer's Wells Ln, Southall UB1 3HZ

Speed Networking Event, St Marks School

What? The event is aimed at the year 10 (aged 14 – 15) year group at St Marks Catholic School. There will be 180 students in total. The aim is for students to develop their confidence and communication skills and expose them to a variety of industries and careers. We are looking for volunteers to take part in a Speed Networking Session, and/ or to deliver Careers Activities.

When and where?
