In a remarkable achievement that marks a new chapter in its 47-year history, PSI has surpassed 2000 members for the first time. This significant milestone was celebrated earlier this month by the PSI Membership & Community Committee who gathered to commemorate this achievement. Established in 1977 as a non-profit with just 50 members, PSI has steadfastly served as a community hub, bringing together statisticians with shared interests in drug-development, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual support. This growth in membership signifies not only PSI's enduring appeal but also its successful adaptation to modern interests and needs within the community.
PSI plans to further celebrate this momentous milestone at the 2025 annual conference gala dinner, by bringing together founding members, and newer members, to recognise all of those who have contributed to PSI over the years.
"Surpassing 2000 members is a testament to the vibrant and inclusive environment we strive to cultivate," PSI chair David Wright stated. “As the club looks to the future, plans are already underway to introduce new initiatives to accommodate the growing membership and continue its legacy of engagement and community building.”
