About the Conference
PSI 2024 Conference
The PSI 2024 Conference will be held from Sunday 16th to Wednesday 19th June 2024 as a face to face conference at Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
PSI was founded in 1977 and members now span statisticians and other quantitative scientists with an interest in statistics working in all areas of drug development and healthcare, including research, pre-clinical, production, quality control, health technology, marketing, market research, academic statisticians and consultants. The annual PSI Conference attracts 350 to 450 quantitative scientists from industry, academia and regulatory/HTA agencies from the UK, Europe and beyond.
The Conference program extends over 3 days and from Monday to Wednesday includes a variety of plenary and parallel sessions, as well as breakout discussion sessions, workshops, and a poster session. On the Sunday prior to the conference there are pre-conference course(s). Registration includes multiple social events, including a welcome reception on Sunday evening, a networking event on Monday and, last but not least, the conference gala dinner on the Tuesday night. In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to interact with other delegates and sponsors at breaks.
The PSI annual general meeting takes place during the conference.
Who should attend?
As with previous PSI annual conferences, there will be talks on a wide range of statistical topics such as master protocols, HTA, and estimands as well as opportunities to support professional development via non-technical topics. The scientific program promises to be of interest to anyone interested in applying statistics and data science in drug development and healthcare whether they are from industry, academia or regulatory/HTA agencies.
For career young statisticians (approximately less than 5 years working in the pharmaceutical industry) there are dedicated events to allow you to get to know your peers. In addition, you have the option to present in a dedicated contributed session. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in presenting in a friendly environment and to network with those of similar experience.
