Joint PSI/EFSPI Visualisation SIG 'Wonderful Wednesday' Webinars

Our monthly webinar explores examples of innovative data visualisations relevant to our day to day work. Each month a new dataset is provided from a clinical trial or other relevant example, and participants are invited to submit a graphic that communicates interesting and relevant characteristics of the data.

PSI Training Course: Effective Leadership – the keys to growing your leadership capabilities

This course will consist of three online half-day workshops. The first will be aimed at building trust, the backbone of leadership and a key to becoming effective. This is key to building a solid foundation. The second will be on improving communication as a technical leader. This workshop will focus on communication strategies for different stakeholders and will involve tips on effective communication and how to develop the skills of active listening, coaching and what improv can teach us about good communication. The final workshop will bring these two components together to help leaders become more influential. This will also focus on how to use Steven Covey’s 7-Habits, in particular Habits 4, 5 and 6, which are called the habits of communication. The workshops will be interactive, allowing you to practice the concepts discussed. There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion. There will also be reflective time where you can think about what you are learning and how you might experiment with it.

Speaker	Biography
Kimberley Hacquoil	Kim is a highly skilled statistical leader who has worked widely in the pharmaceutical industry. As Chief Data Scientific Officer at Exploristics she provides statistical advice and consultation around drug development options and study design using novel methods and software. Kim has previously worked at GSK and has over 17 years in-depth experience across a wide range of therapeutic areas, mainly in early development. She has led numerous projects, implemented company-wide initiatives and championed new approaches to decision making in clinical development including futility and predictive inference, prior elicitation, and assurance. She also has experience in strategic decision-making and analytics at a portfolio level. Kim currently sits on the Board of Directors for PSI leading the Careers team and is eager to support and develop statisticians in advancing non-technical skills to impact and influence.
Paul Terrill	Paul Terrill is a distinguished statistician known for his significant contributions to the field. With a background in advanced statistical methods, he has played a pivotal role in shaping data analysis techniques. Terrill's work spans various domains, including healthcare, finance, and social sciences, where his expertise has been instrumental in deriving meaningful insights from complex datasets. His commitment to precision and innovation has earned him recognition as a leading figure in the world of statistics.
Ursula Becker	Ursula is leading a team of Evidence Leads (statisticians and health economists) at Roche’s headquarters. She is a medical statistician by training and has also an MBA. After her studies she started her career in market research and database marketing before joining the Pharmaceutical Industry more than 15 years ago. She has worked in different areas of pharmaceutical development, both at a global level and also at the German affiliate across a variety of disease areas (e.g., Oncology, Infectious Diseases, Neurosciences). Ursula is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion. The topic of disability inclusion is particularly close to her heart. She is chairing the Roche internal network on this topic and has launched CareRing, Roche’s internal community for patients and caregivers a few years ago.
