This networking event is aimed at statisticians that are new to the pharmaceutical industry who wish to meet colleagues from different companies and backgrounds. With the PSI Conference coming up, this event will focus slightly more on how to get the most out of a conference, especially for those who may not have attended one before. The event will begin with a talk from Francesca about her experiences with conferences, followed by breakout rooms to facilitate connections with colleagues.
Joint PSI/EFSPI Visualisation SIG 'Wonderful Wednesday' Webinars
Our monthly webinar explores examples of innovative data visualisations relevant to our day to day work. Each month a new dataset is provided from a clinical trial or other relevant example, and participants are invited to submit a graphic that communicates interesting and relevant characteristics of the data.
PSI Training Course: R for Clinical Trial Statisticians
This course consists of 5 x 2 hour training sessions run over 5 weeks. For those who cannot attend the date and time provided, there will be a recording provided and a follow-up 1 hour Q and A session.
Participation will provide access to extensive course materials in the form of a “bookdown” site. However, this is designed as a hands-on, interactive course. Both you and the trainers will work entirely within the RStudio Cloud development environment, which will remain accessible between virtual sessions in order to further explore and cement your understanding.
The Pre-Clinical SIG Workshop returns for 2024, bringing you a two half-days event, starting with a course on pre-clinical design of experiments. We will also have speakers on topics such as statistics and genetic toxicology, the new and promising OMARS DOE and ANOVA-type.
Joint PSI/EFSPI HTA SIG Webinar: Indirect treatment comparisons - choosing the right tool for the job
This event aims to provide information on the purpose and methods for ITC. The speakers will review and compare different approaches for ITC in both anchored and unanchored case. Both drug regulatory and reimbursement body’s views on using ITC will be discussed. The speakers will offer insights into issues such as marginal and conditional effect, unmeasured confounding and provide case studies to demonstrate the use of ITC methods in practice.
PSI Training Course: Introduction to Machine Learning
This course is aimed at clinical trial statisticians who are new to or with limited experience of machine learning. Attendees will learn about a range of topics in machine learning, including practical sessions in R.
The event will open with an overview on drug development in women’s health from a clinician perspective. This talk is followed by talks about statistical challenges when planning IVF studies and analysing the menstrual cycles.
This webinar will provide an overview of surrogacy for licensing and reimbursement. In turn, the need of extensions of the SPIRIT and CONSORT statement will be defined and outlined, with case studies to support.
