Time‑limited volunteer appointment
PSI is inviting members to join the PSI Rebrand & Website Working Group, supporting the delivery of one of the most significant and visible programmes in PSI’s recent history.
As PSI approaches its 50‑year anniversary, we are undertaking a comprehensive rebrand, followed by the design and delivery of a new website. This programme will refresh PSI’s visual identity and messaging, strengthen our positioning, and deliver a modern, user‑centred digital platform that better serves our members and external stakeholders.
Working Group members will play an important role in shaping this work - bringing insight, perspective, and constructive challenge to ensure the programme reflects PSI’s strategy, values, and the needs of our community.
This opportunity offers PSI members a chance to make a meaningful contribution at a landmark moment for the organisation.
About the role
Working Group members will contribute to the oversight and direction of the rebrand and website programme, supporting delivery from early discovery through to launch and post‑launch review.
This is a time‑limited volunteer role, expected to run for an initial 12‑month period, with the possibility of a short extension if required.
The role focuses on providing input, guidance, and assurance.
Key responsibilities
As a Working Group member, you will:
- Provide input and constructive challenge on proposals, designs, and approaches
- Help ensure the programme reflects PSI’s strategy, values, and member needs
- Contribute to informed decision‑making at key stages of the programme
- Support effective engagement with PSI committees, Special Interest Groups (SIGs), and other stakeholders where appropriate
- Monitor progress and highlight risks, issues, or dependencies
- Contribute to discussions on priorities, timelines, and delivery approach
- Support preparations for launch and early post‑launch activity
Working with Moore Engage and delivery partners
The Working Group will work closely with Moore Engage, PSI’s professional administrators and project managers, as well as appointed external suppliers.
Moore Engage will lead on project management and administration, enabling Working Group members to focus on providing insight, guidance, and oversight.
Time commitment
This is a volunteer commitment, expected to involve:
- Attendance at regular virtual meetings (typically monthly)
- Meetings will normally be held virtually
- Moore Engage will support meeting administration, including agendas, papers, actions, and records
- Decisions, risks, and actions will be documented and tracked throughout the programme
Who should consider this role?
This role may be of interest to PSI members who:
- Have experience leading or chairing complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives
- Are confident providing direction and making decisions in a governance setting
- Enjoy facilitating collaboration and guiding delivery across diverse groups
- Are comfortable working with senior volunteers, professional administrators, and external suppliers
- Are motivated to give back to PSI by shaping its future direction
Experience in branding, digital projects, communications, or organisational change would be helpful, but is not essential. Strong leadership, judgement, and the ability to coordinate and guide delivery are more important than technical expertise.
Why volunteer?
This opportunity may be of interest to PSI members who:
- Are interested in contributing to PSI’s future direction and identity
- Can offer relevant insight or experience (e.g. digital, communications, user experience, content, member engagement)
- Enjoy contributing to collaborative discussions and group decision‑making
- Are able to review and provide thoughtful, constructive feedback
- Are motivated to give back to PSI through a focused, time‑limited commitment
How to express interest
PSI members who are interested are invited to submit a short expression of interest outlining their background and motivation, or to request an informal conversation before applying.
