The Communications Committee is responsible for coordinating all areas of communication and publishing within PSI.
The Committee is looking for someone who is organised and enthusiastic about helping us run smoothly and effectively. As Committee Secretary, you will be at the heart of our operations, making sure meetings happen, keeping everyone informed, and ensuring our work is properly documented.
Roles and responsibilities:
• Coordinating regular meetings (virtual or occasionally face-to-face) so our team can collaborate, plan, and deliver on our objectives.
• Assisting the Communications Director in following up on activities outside of committee calls.
• Helping to prepare agendas and collect items from committee members so meetings are productive and focused.
• Recording clear, accurate minutes so actions and decisions are captured and followed up.
• Assisting in documentation relating to the committee.
• Keeping all committee documents—e.g. meeting records and correspondence—organised and accessible for members.
• Supporting within-committee communications, making sure everyone is updated, and action points are not missed.
• Acting as a contact point for committee members and for queries from external partners (e.g. liaising with other committees).
• Responsible for liaising with other committees and aligning strategies with communications committee strategy.
