PSI are pleased to announce that Emma Crawford will be leading the DE&I strategy for PSI. Emma has been volunteering with PSI for over 10 years. She has volunteered within the Careers group throughout that time, with various roles, including leading our annual medical statistics careers event which saw her being awarded the Mick Godley Award for her services to PSI in 2022, and most recently chair of the Schools group. She was also an active member of the HTA SIG for over 4 years.
Emma is openly autistic, and was involved in the panel on “Neurodiversity in the Workplace” at last year’s PSI conference. Emma is passionate about advocating awareness for late-diagnosed neurodivergence and wider disability accessibility. She plans to bring this passion to her new role leading the DE&I working group for PSI to ensure that the PSI community will be diverse, equitable and inclusive, so all PSI members have a sense of belonging.
We had a number of members express interest in joining the working group – thank you to you all for your willingness to help drive this forward for PSI! Emma will be reaching out to you shortly to get the group started.
