PSI Spotlight 2024: Data Visualization and animation

May 16, 2024, 10:12 AM

This session will cover three different talks relevant to data visualization. There will be a talk intriguingly titled “How to Draw a Really Bad Graph” (which will also include what we can learn from such things!). There will also be a talk around data storytelling, showing the tools that can be used to activate the true power of an audience's iconic memory. The third talk will be on the topic of Digital Accessibility; making our work more accessible and thus easier to understand. In particular, what can we statisticians do in order to make our work also accessible for people with permanent or temporary disabilities, and how can we change the way we present data in order to be inclusive?
