PSI 2019 02

by PSI Secretariat | 13 Jun, 2019

The 2019 PSI Conference took place at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre (QEII), London, from 2nd to 5th June 2019 with the theme of “Data Driven Decision Making in Medical Research”.

The conference consisted of a variety of plenary and parallel sessions, as well as breakout discussion sessions, workshops, a poster session and the Annual General Meeting. The conference ran over three full days from Monday to Wednesday, with an optional half day training course on the Sunday afternoon (booked during registration at an additional cost).

Sessions included early phase innovative trial design, industry best practice - 10 years on, statistical issues in safety drug labelling, model based dose finding designs, an update from Transcelerate and much more, with speakers from industry, academia and regulatory agencies.  The conference scientific programme is available via the link below, as well as the abstracts.

PSI are also delighted to announce that for the first time in 2019 we offered a “student day” where students who are studying for a BSc, MSc or PhD could attend the first full day of the conference (Monday 3rd June) at a reduced rate and experience all that our professional conference had to offer. The conference day ran from 9am – 7pm on Monday 3rd June and the discounted price for students was £30 for the day, including lunch and coffee breaks on that day.

Thank you to the companies who took up our sponsorship and exhibition opportunities. Should your company be interested in the sponsorship opportunities available at the 2020 conference, please contact Alex Currie (alexander.8.currie@gsk.com) or Chris Watton (chris@wattonhall.com) for further information.

A final huge thank you to the delegates, presenters, poster authors, exhibitors, sponsors and to MCI who made the 2019 PSI Conference such a success. We hope you will join us in building on the huge success of this year’s event in Barcelona in 2020, so watch this space for further details soon!
