 es as part of their day to day work. By the end of the course participants
  will be able to conduct their own analyses.\n\n    The course will begin 
 with an introduction into Bayesian general principles including prior dist
 ribution\, likelihood\, posterior distribution\, predictive distribution a
 nd Bayesian vs frequentist inference\n    The course will then progress in
 to learning how to implement Bayesian analyses in R: Stan and SAS: PROC MC
 MC\n    Examples of using Bayesian analyses in clinical trials will be dis
 cussed\n    This course will have a hands-on approach so participants must
  bring a laptop with R (latest version if possible)\, R studio and SAS ins
 talled (if available). The R Stan package should also be installed.\n\nAbo
 ut the presenters:\nMarco Munda holds a bachelor of mathematics\, a master
  of statistics\, and a PhD in statistics. Marco has been working at Pharma
 lex Belgium as a consultant in statistics for the pharmaceutical industry 
 for the last 5 years.\nMaud Hennion holds a master&rsquo\;s degree in math
 ematics and a master&rsquo\;s degree in Biostatistics (Universit&eacute\; 
 Catholique de Louvain).\nMaud has been working at Pharmalex as a bio-stati
 stician for the last 4 years. She has been mainly involved in pre-clinical
  and clinical studies (development of methodology of analysis\, study simu
 lation\, study design\, SAP and protocol writing\, PK/PD analysis).\n&nbsp
